AJAY DOSHI

He is in the profession since 1977 and is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He was associated with S.R. Batliboi & Co. / Ernst & Young in different capacities for nearly 25 years including as Partner / head of taxation department at Kolkata for a period of nearly 15 years. He has immense exposure both in direct and indirect taxes. He specialises in Corporate Tax, Tax Planning, Cross-border Taxation, Transfer Pricing, Foreign collaboration etc. He has been advising a number of multinationals (includes MNCs engaged in construction of infrastructure, civil & mechanical construction related to massive projects and giant manufacturing Companies) and renowned Indian industry groups on tax matters and has to his credit a number of favourable settlements by the tax department at assessment and appeal stages. He was in the Board of Directors of a Public Sector Bank and during his terms as director was also chairman of the audit committee. He was also a permanent member of management committee while being a director of the public sector bank. He is actively involved in various Chambers of Commerce and was in the Tax sub-committee of ASSOCHAM, Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Indian Chamber of Commerce. His articles and comments on critical issues have been published in newspapers a number of times. He has travelled abroad for professional assignments on many occasions. He is also a member of Rotary Club of Calcutta. He has been appointed the Chairman of BKR International’s Asia Pacific Region and was a member of BKR International’s Worldwide Board.

BISWA RANJAN DATTA

He graduated with honours in Physics from Kalyani University in 1970. Became Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India w.e.f. July 1982 and got the fellowship DOSHI CHATTERJEE BAGRI & CO LLP 8 w.e.f. 1987. Joined S. R. Batliboi & Co., Chartered Accountants (E&Y) as Senior Audit Assistant on and from August 1981 and continued till March 1987. Joined Jardine Henderson Limited in March 1987 and became Chief Executive - Accounts and Taxation. Handled the Accounts, Audit and Taxation of the company along with all the Management Consultancy services during his service period with S. R. Batliboi & Co., Jardine Henderson Limited and M. Datta & Co. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Kalyani University Physical Alumni Association and also a Joint Secretary of the East Calcutta District Sport Council and represented University in the All India Inter-Varsity Cricket Tournament for successive years from 1968-1970.

DEBRAJ DUTTA

He is a commerce graduate and has post-qualification experience of about 4 years in the fields of Auditing, Finance & Accounts Management, Due Diligence Review and Forensic Audit across diverse industries. He has handled Adoption of IND AS and Compilation of Accounts as per IND AS in Government Companies, Statutory Audits, Tax Audits, Internal Audits of Private Limited and Public Limited Companies, Accounts Finalization and Computation of Tax of Private Limited Companies, Partnership firms, Individuals and Preparation & E-filing of Income Tax Returns with I.T. Department.

SUBIR DUTTA

He has about 26 years of experience in assurance, management consulting and human resource consulting assignments spanning across USA, Europe, India, Australia, South-East Asia and the Middle East. The extent of his work-experience is varied and includes Finance, Marketing, HR, Information Technology and Administration. Subir started his training and subsequently his work experience with Ernst & Young in the USA followed by India and South East Asian markets. He has served in the capacity of CFO & CIO for Proline India Limited - a leading retail brand in India. He has also served as the Vice-President – Strategic Planning for a leading Commercial Bank in the Middle East where he also designed and implemented the Bank’s Human Resource processes. He has been a member of Confederation of Indian Industries - Eastern Region and Bengal National Chamber of Commerce & Industries’ various committees over the years. He has served as the Chapter President of The Institute of Internal Auditors – India, Calcutta Chapter in 2009-10 and has also served as the National President of The Institute of Internal Auditors – India in 2013-14. He has been a member of the Executive Committee of Eastern Chamber of Commerce between 2013-15 and has served as its Hony. Secretary of for 2015-16 & 2016-17. He is currently serving as the President of Eastern Chamber of Commerce for 2017-18, 2018-19 & 2019-20. He is an active speaker on various Industry and Professional forums nationally and internationally. He is an active Rotarian having been the President of his Club and has served the Rotary District in various capacities. He has been elected as one of eight Worldwide Board members of BKR International. He is also serving on the Asia Pacific Board of BKR International from 1st July 2017 and is the current Chairperson for the Region.
